The extension seamlessly merges with the existing thatched cottage set within Exmoor National Park. The original cottage is the dominant form with the cedar weather boarded extension being a subservient addition set back from the principle facade. Particular materials, colours and detailing ensure that the extension sits comfortably beside the original property. External areas are designed to be extensions of the internal living spaces. The interior of the house has also been extensively remodelled.
